Science Tutoring

Online Science Tutoring for K–12 Students

Your child used to love science. Now it's dense textbook chapters, pages of vocabulary, and tests that seem to come from nowhere. A 1-on-1 science tutor meets them exactly where they are — and follows their school's curriculum from day one.

The Problem

When Science Goes From Fun to Frustrating

Something shifts between elementary and middle school science. The hands-on experiments give way to dense chapters, abstract concepts, and tests that demand more than just reading the textbook twice.

🧪

It made sense — until middle school

In elementary school, science was experiments and cool videos. Now it's abstract concepts and vocabulary lists before a single thing connects.

📚

They study hard and still fail the test

Re-reading the chapter isn't enough. Your child needs to talk through concepts with someone who can answer their exact questions in real time.

📋

Lab reports are a skill no one teaches

Hypothesis, data table, analysis, conclusion — each section has its own rules. Teachers mark down points without always explaining why.

📉

One missed unit derails everything after

Science builds on itself. A shaky understanding of cells makes genetics twice as hard. Fuzzy atoms make chemical reactions nearly impossible.

It’s not that your child isn’t a science person. It’s that no one has explained it the right way yet.

How It Works

How Science Tutoring Sessions Work

Every session is 1-on-1 and 50 minutes. Your child’s tutor follows their school curriculum, uses their actual textbook, and works through real assignments — not worksheets from a generic packet.

Free assessment — find the gaps first

Before session one, a brief assessment tells us exactly where your child’s understanding breaks down and what’s been causing the confusion.

Concept explanations that actually land

If the textbook isn’t clicking, the tutor explains it differently — with analogies, diagrams, and real-world examples that make sense for your child.

Lab prep and full report walkthroughs

The tutor reviews the lab procedure before class so your child walks in prepared. Afterward, they help write up the report — hypothesis, data, analysis, and conclusion.

Test prep that targets the actual test

The week before a test, sessions focus on exactly what’s coming — the unit’s key vocabulary, diagrams, and practice problems from the real curriculum.

We tutor science for K–12 students. We have dedicated pages for
5th grade science
,
6th grade science
, and
7th grade science
. We also support high school students in biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science through our
high school tutoring
program.
What science subjects do you cover?
We cover all major K–12 science subjects — life science, earth science, physical science, biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science. Sessions always follow your child’s school curriculum and use their actual textbook and assignments.
Can a tutor help with AP or Honors science classes?
Yes. We offer tutoring for AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and AP Environmental Science. AP and Honors courses are priced separately from our standard plans — ask about availability when you book your free assessment.
How does online science tutoring work for labs?
Your child’s tutor reviews the lab procedure with them before class so they walk in knowing exactly what to observe and record. Afterward, the tutor helps write up the full report — including the hypothesis, data table, analysis, and conclusion.
How long are sessions and how often should we meet?
